The TASTE of Tippecanoe is the major fund raising event for the Tippecanoe Arts Federation (TAF). Proceeds from the TASTE provide educational opportunities in the visual, performing, and literary arts, outreach programs for both underserved communities and at-risk youth, and funding for capital and operational expenses to fellow arts organizations region-wide.

About the TASTE of Tippecanoe

The Tippecanoe Arts Federation presents the 36th Annual TASTE of Tippecanoe on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 4pm until midnight. Downtown Lafayette and the Depot Plaza come alive with FOOD, MUSIC, FIREWORKS, AND ART; featuring local food & drink vendors, live music, live art demonstrations, pop-up performances, and the biggest booms around!!

About the Tippecanoe Arts Federation

The Tippecanoe Arts Federation is the umbrella organization and arts council for 14 counties. TAF provides educational opportunities in the visual, performing, and literary arts, outreach programs for both underserved and at-risk youth, and funding for capital and operational expenses to fellow arts organizations region wide. Established in 1976, the Tippecanoe Arts Federation serves as a model for arts advocacy by promoting the role of the arts within our region. More information is available at www.TippecanoeArts.org.

Grow the Arts by volunteering for the Tippecanoe Arts Federation at the 2017 TASTE of Tippecanoe on Saturday, June 17th!

Volunteers are crucial for the success of the event and needed for a variety of duties throughout the day including ticket sales, admissions, and setup.

Enjoy free admission to the TASTE and an official T-shirt in exchange for volunteering two hours of your time. Volunteer assignments and times (first-come, first-served) will be scheduled during training sessions held at TAF offices (638 North Street, Lafayette, IN) the week before the event. All volunteers MUST complete the form at bit.ly/TASTEvolunteer and attend one of the offered sessions.

SpaceWords is a progressive alt rock band from Lafayette, Indiana. Their music is an interwoven blend of melodic soothing rhythms with bursts of edgy energy. Primarily influenced by 90’s grunge, they have evolved a modern sound that is familiar and unique.

After opening for Blind Melon and performances at the Summer Camp & Hyperion Festivals, the band has been polishing new material to complete a second album. They now plan to tour the Midwest and beyond.

We have all been that guy or gal driving home alone at night when a song comes on, maybe we know it, maybe we don’t, but in those 3:30-4:00 minutes, we feel safe. Safe in our pain, safe in our hope, safe in our understanding that things won’t always be like this bad/good thus causing us to cherish that moment, and if we can’t…we simply start the song over. Sometimes over and over again. I just want to be the song you want to play over and over again.
